Frances Brock affectionately known as “TT”, passed away on April 15, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 83. Born on November 8, 1941, in Cleveland, she was the second of eight children born to Austin Jones and Arline Richards.
From an early age, Frances dedicated her life to Christ and found spiritual fulfillment as a devoted member of Grace Memorial First Church Of The Living God Baptist. She contributed to the church choir, her voice resonating with her profound faith and positive outlook.
She graduated from the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and later cultivated a meaningful career with ARA Cafeteria through Ford Motor Company, where she worked diligently for 20 years before retiring.
In May 1958, Frances married Reuben Dammons Joseph Jr., with whom she shared nine children: Reuben, Arline, LaJohn, Frances (deceased), Catherine, Diane, Maurice, Geraldine, and Carl. In 1985, she entered into marriage with Dave Brock; no children were born to that union.
Frances embraced life’s simple joys with open arms-playing cards and board games with her children and grandchildren, taking road trips filled with laughter and music, cooking soul-warming meals, dancing, chatting endlessly on the phone, and hosting gatherings that became cherished memories. Above all else, time with her sisters brought her immeasurable joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers-Austin Jones, David Jones, and Gregory Avery; and five sisters-Esther Belvins Martin, Barbara Ann Jones Clay, Jerry Jordan, Diane Jones, and Mildred Jones.
Frances leaves behind her loving children: Reuben (Miriam), Arline (Darvin), LaJohn, Catherine (Darryl), Diane (Talmage), Maurice (Sonya), Geraldine Elliot), and Carl; two sisters Wydena (Kenneth), and Wendy; two uncles Issac and Marvin; along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
