Fred Wallace Booker Sr. was born on December 14, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Carl Wallace Booker and Addie Beatrice Brown Booker. He was the second oldest of five siblings—three brothers and two sisters. Fred attended Cleveland Public Schools and was baptized at an early age. In his early twenties, he proudly joined the United States Marine Corps. After his honorable service, Fred went on to work at Ford Motor Company, where he remained until his retirement in 1996. He was also a devoted member of King Tut.
Fred and Patricia shared 48 loving years together and were joined as one in 1944. Patricia was truly the love of Fred’s life. He enjoyed barbecuing for his family, shopping, and taking mini road trips with those, he loved most. His favorite song was Atomic Dog, which perfectly matched his fun-loving spirit.
Fred was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Booker, and his son Clyde. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: Addie (James), Fred Jr. (Jonna), Maurice (Rena), Robin, Kevin (Angyne), Duanne (Johanna), Mekko, Lakisha (Demetrius), Kelly, Marcia (Clifford), Gwendolyn, and Rochelle. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
