Freddie L. Iverson was born the third son to the late Moses and Katie Iverson on March 28, 1944 in Barberton, Ohio.
He was raised in Barberton and was educated in the Barberton Public School System where he graduated from Barberton High School. He was baptized and became a member of Livingston Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Frank Gary.
He was united in marriage to Ivory Sue Duckworth, on November 18, 1978, to that marriage was born their son Freddie Lee Iverson II.
Mr. Iverson was employed by Barberton Citizen Hospital and Ohio Brass before he enlisted into the United States Army. He received his honorable discharge from the military on August 16, 1968.
Returning as a civilian he was employed by the United States Postal Service where he retired after 35 years of loyal service. His hobbies included working on his automobiles and landscaping.
Preceding him in death was his brother Moses Iverson, Jr.
Cherishing the memories of his life is his wife Ivory Sue Iverson; Children, sons, Lamar (LaTasha) Iverson, Freddie Iverson II, daughters, Angela (Eric) Wilson, and Lamara Iverson. Brother Willie (Carol) Iverson; and brothers-in-law Preston (Allison) Duckworth, Cecil Duckworth; sisters-in-law Delores Iverson, Min. Earline Mosley. Six grandchildren; Ramal Iverson , Eric Wilson ll, JaVahn Iverson, Ali Iverson, Marshai Iverson and Erica Wilson; best friend Johnny Blackstone; special nephews Terry and Quincy Iverson and a host of other relatives, family and friends.
