Obituary
Garland W Robinson ||| better known as “Lucky” transition this earthly life into the heavenly realm. Suddenly after suffering a multitude of internal illnesses on December 28th, 2025.
Lucky’s heritage stems back to his great-great grandfather on his father’s side of the family of English, Irish, and European descent. He owned land, properties, and businesses all across Kentucky. He held a very prominent position within the community. Leading by example, sharing his knowledge of the importance of entrepreneurship. Also on his father’s side his aunts Betty, Delores, and Florence walking in their grandfather footsteps owning stores and pubs in the Louisville area.

Lucky was born in Louisville, Kentucky. To Garland William Robinson Jr. and Elva M Robinson. When Lucky was just six years old, the family moved to Akron, Ohio. Where Lucky attended Akron public schools and accepted Christ at an early age.
While the family reside on the east side of Akron as a child. Lucky loved to ride bikes throughout the neighborhood with his Eastside friends. Also developing his fishing skills, fishing for tadpoles in the canal, with his favorite companion his dog Dynamite.
Lucky grew to have a special interest in cars and fashion. He had an unique style. His friends and acquaintances affectionately gave him the name Lucky Strike. Lucky loved all genres of music. His favorite was Parliament, funkadelic P-Funk.
🍀Lucky Starr ⭐️
In 1984 Lucky and Starr crossed paths. After dating exclusively, they fell in love and she became the one true love of his life.
In 1989 the welcomed their first born into the world. On October 14th, 1989 they officially became Mr. & Mrs. Garland W. Robinson |||and Bonnie Sue Robinson. Celebrating their 1st anniversary October 14th, 1990 they welcomed their second born to their beautiful tribe. April 1994 they welcomed their third child. The last addition to the tribe, in 2002 they embraced their fourth gift. Their sacred union was complete.
Against the odds, to provide for his family. He earned an honorable living being employed at Ram Sales in the shipping & receiving department. Lucky possessed a lot of charisma. He had the ability to pivot without notice creating unique solutions to any problems that may arise, turning setbacks into comebacks.
The Family will always treasure his cooking, becoming a great fisherman, detailing his cars blasting music while drinking a cold one in the sun. He was truly one of one whom will always remain in our hearts forever.
Garland W. Robinson ||| (Lucky) has proceeded in death: Parents Garland W Robinson Jr. and Elva M Robinson. His grandparents Garland W. Robinson Sr. and Alberta Robinson. Theodore and Beatrice Martin.
Garland W Robinson ||| (Lucky) he leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Bonnie Sue Robinson (Starr), Oldest daughter Va’Shawnie La’Starr Robinson (Sunshine), Va’Neisha Ashanti Robinson/ Neon Aseem (Chief), Va’Nia Cheyenne Robinson (Nia), Va’Liayah Maria Robinson (Princess Lee).
