Gary M. Benson, age 53, Passed away on March, 26th 2025

Gary Maurice Benson loving known to some as “Pookie” was born on August 23, 1971 in Cleveland to the proud parents of Gussie May Vales and Gary Barrow who have proceeded him death.

Gary graduated from John Hay High school, where he began to shape the hardworking, determined character that would define his life.
he accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior at an early age, and his faith was an important part of his life.
Gary was the proud father of two children Garianne Benson and Kamere Benson devoted grandfather to his two grandchildren, Gabryelle Morris and Grace Morris. Known for his strong, protective nature and unwavering love for his family, Gary’s great sense of humor and storytelling ability made him a cherished Prescence, always bringing laughter an light to those around him. A true jack of trades, Gary had an impressive work ethic and a diverse skill set. he worked at MPW as a line worker and in special projects. Working as a paratransit operator, dedicating himself to helping others by taking them to important medical appointments. he also ventured into entrepreneurship, starting his own business, Benson landscaping, serving his local community. In addition to his professional venture, Gary was a gifted mechanic and a skilled handyman, often lending a hand to friends and family with house repair and other projects.
Gary was a man of strong convictions and had a mindset that was steadfast and resolute. Above all, he was devoted to his family and worked hard to ensure their well-being. Though he is no longer with us, Gary’s legacy of hard work, humor, and love for his family will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
