George B. Fry, Jr. went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2020. He was born on July 14, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, and attended Central Hower High School. He then went on to serve his country in The United States Army, leaving with an honorable discharge. He was also a retired truck driver.
George was an extremely gifted bass guitar player. He played in a band named Eastern Parkway, better known today as “Switch!”
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle, who was a ray of sunshine to all of his family and friends. To know him was to love him.
George was preceded in death by his father, George Bobby Fry Sr.; sister, Barbara J. Fry, and brother, Michael R. Fry.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Johnson-Fry; wife, Charlotte Fry; daughter, Monique Fry Evans; sisters, Debra A. Drake and Elizabeth Fry; step-daughters, D’Waan Jefferson, Viola Jefferson, and Dontell Jefferson; step-sons, Willie Jefferson and Kardeen Wade; and a host of grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
