George E. Flinn, age 79, passed away on November 21, 2021. George was born and lived most of his life in Akron, OH. He served in the U.S. Army from 1959- 1961. He has resided in several states before moving to the Dallas Texas area where he resided for the last 18 years. George was an avid fan of all sports he truly loved all things sports. He loved reading, watching TV and listening to music. George had an infinite love for his family and a special love for and relationship with his grandkids and great grandkids. He had many lifelong friends that he was able to maintain contact with throughout his moves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Porter and Carrie Mae Flinn, brothers, Bertryl and (Deloris) Flinn, David Flinn (Clarice), Preston Flinn (Melissa) George will be missed by his wife, Lena Cherry-Flinn; children, Doreen Flinn, George Bradford, Donovan Carson, and Michael Bradford Flinn and grandchildren; David Slayton, DaLena Slayton, Delano Sullivan, Oliq Kirksey, Michaela Bradford, Monte Bradford, Amari Bradford, sister; Velma Wright, brothers; Harvey Flinn (Emma), Joseph Flinn (Queen), and Michael Flinn, 3 great grandkids and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and friends. Special family his Cherry sister’s and brother’s-in law.
