Geraldine Brunson-Dunning, age 78, was born in Reedsville, North Carolina, to the late Helen Stubblefield and Ollice Stubblefield. She transitioned peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and family unity.
Geraldine was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Robert Dunning, and a loving and nurturing mother to her children: Todd, Thurman, Terry, Helen, Kimberly, and Terrance. She was also blessed with sons-in-law, including Joe, Terrono, William, who she welcomed as part of her family.
She is survived by her siblings Joshua Stubblefield, Mary Jordan, and succeeded Ollice Stubblefield II, and Antonio Stubblefield,
Geraldine was a proud grandmother to a number of grandchildren including Talenna, Whitney, Demontae, Delontae, Kimara, Joell, Winter, Jaylen, Geraldine, Angela, Lissette, Telina R., Todd Jr., Angelo, Antonio, Chania, Reniya, Mansfield, Elijah, and Alexis. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and spoke of often.
She is lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Joshua “Lil Joe” Stubblefield and Tiffany Jordan, along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
Geraldine dedicated 25 years of service to Goulds/Western House, where she worked faithfully until the closing of the plant. Her strong work ethic and commitment were qualities admired by all who knew her.
In her free time, Geraldine enjoyed life to the fullest. Her favorite hobbies included going to the casino every Friday with her family, shopping, and hosting large gatherings and celebrations, especially her memorable Fourth of July festivities and holiday events at her home. Her house was a place of joy, laughter, and togetherness.
Geraldine Brunson-Dunning will be deeply missed and forever cherished for her warmth, generosity, and the love she poured into her family and community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
