Geraldine “Chicken” Weaver was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. On October 28, 2023, Geraldine got her wings and went to walk with the angels.
She was born on July 31, 1954 in Cleveland, OH, to Mildred Myhand and Henry C. Hamilton. Geraldine was the baby of four siblings.
Geraldine attended Cleveland Schools and later received her GED. She worked in Environmental Services at Case Western Reserve University until she retired in July 2020 after 20 years. She was very shy, introverted and known to stay to herself but loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved music and was known for her beautiful vocals. She passed her love of music on to her children, when they were growing up, by engaging them in musical jam sessions whenever time allowed. Geraldine was fun loving and a best friend to many. She was considered a safe haven for many when they needed someone to vent to and laugh with. She was a treasure to her family and will be greatly missed by all.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother and brother, Calvin “JoJo” Myhand.
She is survived by her two other brothers, Leonard Myhand and Charles Myhand; her children, Charyl Lennette Weaver, Twanna Weaver, Gerald Weaver, Natasha Weaver and Michelle Weaver; and grandchildren, Avionne Weaver, Aniyah Weaver, Randy Owens Jr., Ranell Owens, Ra’Nyla Owens, Za’Ryah Owens, Bridget Weaver and Brianna Weaver.
