Gloria Diane Mack died peacefully at University Hospital on November 10, 2017 in Ravenna, Ohio at the age of 70.
Gloria was born on August 10, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio to James and Sara Maxine Hadden. Upon graduating from Ravenna High School in 1965, she began an early education in nursing. Gloria was loving and compassionate; and she devoted her life to serving others. The elderly had a special place in her heart and she managed The Roberto House nursing facility for several years.
At an early age, Gloria dedicated her life to Jesus Christ. She was an active and faithful member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and used her gift of singing as a member of the church choir. Gloria was a selfless individual who was passionate about cooking, serving and giving back to her community, which led her to create the Ladies of Love organization. Later in life, she became a member of the United Church of Jesus Christ where she never stopped giving praises to God.
Gloria is survived by her mother, Sara Jackson of Ravenna, Ohio; sons, Kenneth Mack of Kent, Ohio, Rodney and Jason Mack of Ravenna, Ohio; daughters Denesha (Daniel) Williams of Ravenna, Ohio, Denea Mims (Mack) of Ravenna, Ohio; brother, James (Gloriosa) Hadden Jr. of Ravenna, Ohio; goddaughter Elizabeth Rahim of Youngstown, Ohio; fifteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two nieces and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Mack; father, James Hadden; stepfather, Claude Jackson; grandparents, Reverend Beverly and Annabell Sadler; and aunt, Essie Ferrell.
