Gracienne L’Bert (Bertha Thomas) announce her departure from this life on Monday, August 17, 2020, at the age of 90.

Gracienne L’Bert was born in Waycross, Georgia on February 26, 1930, to Esau and Johnie Johnson. She lived many years in Akron, Ohio; Princeton, New Jersey, and in her later years in Salineville, Ohio. She and her husband charitably shared their lives and their family, provided for church members, and taught Christian principles of godliness and the way of truth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Esau and Johnie Johnson, and her beloved son Iyube L’Bert (Derwin Thomas).

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 73 years, Bishop Wilbert Thomas Sr.; children: Wilbert Thomas Jr. (Gloria), Bwai L’Bert, Nyimbaye L’Bert, Cir L’Bert (Akrista), Abaye L’Bert, and Nyumkuma L’Bert. Gracienne was the grandmother, great- grandmother, to a multitude of grandchildren and aunt to nieces and nephews, by whom she will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered. She will be earnestly missed and longed for by her church family of the Christian Enterprise Church (Christian Alliance Holiness Church).
