Haron Lawrence Williams was born December 15, 1938, in Lake Providence, Louisiana. He was raised by his mother, Velma Williams, and stepfather, George Lowe.
The family moved from Louisiana to Ohio when Haron was three years old. He attended Akron Public Schools, West Junior High School and then graduated from Central Hower. Haron went into the Army and was honorably discharged. Upon returning home, he was employed at Ken Tool’s Still Plant.
Haron married twice and had 5 children and 2 stepsons, whom he loved very much.
Haron loved music. His favorites were Jazz, the Blues and old school R&B. Bob Marley was one of his favorite artists. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, softball and track, which he excelled in. Haron was known to always look sharp, dress in fine clothes and we can’t forget, he loved to flirt with the ladies!
He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Williams; sons, Tony and Mike; mother, Velma Williams; brother, George Lowe, Jr.; great grandmother, Reverend Christine Brown; and grandson, Robin Jr.
He is survived by children, Robin, Christine and Valerie; stepsons, William and Andre; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; as well as a host of many family members and friends.
