I am so very sorry to learn of the passing of Ms. Harriet 'Doll' Young. She was so instrumental in shaping my early years as an Entertainer when I danced in a trio that featured her late son, Leroy and the late Irene Dampier called LITTLE LEROY & THE SOUL CATALINAS. Ms. Young and her late husband Leroy, Sr. managed us, along with several other acts that included THE HAPPENING. Ms. Young taught us how to be graceful and professional, and I still carry her teachings with me today working in the theater and film industry. Whenever I made it back to Akron, I would always make my sister, Charlene take me to her bridal shop just to pop in and say hello. I will forever cherish those memories of just being in the presence of her class and sophistication. May The Most High welcome her into his kingdom, and surround her family and friends with His peace in the days ahead. Amen/Ashe

So very sorry to hear this about Harriett. I worked with her at Robert’s Express and she was so funny. I remember she would dance in the aisles at work to Bobby Brown “My Prerogative “ always so much fun! Sending Prayers to all her family! What a sweetheart she was!!!
