Our beloved Queen, our Everything, crossed over peacefully to be with the lord on June 9, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Fairmont, West Virginia into the union of Virginia Chaney and Eugene Calhoun. She had lived her life in Akron, Ohio since the age of 3 years old. She was a graduate of North Evening High School and Barberton School of Commerce. She worked for Roadway Express, then Roberts Express for a combined total of 24 years. She was a faithful member of Eagle Ministry over 20 years. She is survived by daughter Venus Young, Bonus daughter Brittany Young. After Retiring along with daughters Venus and Denise she founded and operated both a bridal and gift basket shop at Rolling Acres Mall, which was a special and treasured interest.
Preceded in death by Husband Fredrick McCraney, mother Virginia Chaney, father Eugene Calhoun, Sisters Shaheeda, Geraldine, Brother Thomas Calhoun, daughter Denise Holley, and son Leroy Young Jr.
She is survived by her grandchildren Tammy Gibson, Dathen (Regina) Holley, Luther Holley, Donte Gibson, 14 great grandchildren, 6 Great-Great Grandchildren, Sisters Rosemary (Calvin) Lother, Deborah James, Rebecca Calhoun, brothers Rodger Calhoun, Emmanuel Calhoun, Jerry (Alyss) Calhoun, all of Cleveland Ohio, Nieces, Nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would love to give as special thanks to her aid Jackie Johnson, close cousin Annie Jemmison. She loved everyone dearly. Just always remember that.
