Harvey McCail was born May 21, 1959, to the late Sam and Bernice McCail. Harvey was a natural-born fighter. During his early teen years, he overcame 2 potentially fatal illnesses: bacterial meningitis, and rheumatic fever. Later in life, he was diagnosed with severe congestive heart failure and was advised hospice care, which was declined because of his fighting spirit. He was told his chances of survival were less than 2 years, but he survived for 12 years.
Harvey loved his family and had a special bond with his sister, Stacy, whom he loved to call and talk to. He enjoyed listening to his favorite singer, Johnny Mathis and loved quoting the Bible. One of his most significant accomplishments was that he read the entire Bible.
On September 2, 2022, Harvey was called to his eternal home. Although he had flaws, as we all do, he was a wonderful brother with a caring soul and will be dearly missed. We loved you in life and even more in death. You will forever live in our hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Bernice McCail; and sisters, April, Valerie, and Vanessa McCail.
He leaves to mourn forever his passing sisters, Stacy McCail-White, Tammy McCail (Michael), and Rebecca McCail; brothers, Sammy McCail, Victor McCail (Sabrina), and Jeffery McCail (Shirly); and special friend, Sheila Player; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
