My condolences to the family!

To the Family of Ms. Harvina Jackson: When my family reflects upon our remembrances of “Ms. J.” as I always fondly addressed her; I must recall 45 years occasions of her unconditional support to us, but especially my children. Church Cotilions, (Christmas, Easter, Mothers’ Day, etc) holidays, weddings and school activities were well known to be big events for “Ms. J.” and would propel into high gear using her creative talents. It could be seen and felt with the love, devotion and drive in creating Christmas decorations, designing an outfit for my daughter for Halloween, or taking charge of decorating a church for a wedding. My sister, Joan, once described “Ms. J.” as feisty and determined. Joan, also felt that “Ms. J” level of creativity as unmatched, even with only a few available or affordable materials and a limited budget to work with. Sadly but with acceptance our memories of those countless years of her style will live on. Remembrances of working, investigating and creative encounters with the lovable “Ms. J” are set now. But we know that her new dwelling should get ready for “Ms. J” still feisty, creative and now ready to assist angels in the decoration of the place, we all call . . . . .
