Henry Cooper Kaine Jr., commonly called Cooper_Lon was born to the union of Hon. Henry Cooper Kaine Sr. and Kuweh Kpalklah Kaine on March 12, 1957, in Kakata, Gibi Territory now known as Margibi County. He started his childhood education at the Ora Jean Public school in Vanyeama, Bong Mines Road. After Henry completed his primary education he moved to Kakata and enrolled at the St. Augustine Episcopal High School in Kakata city. Henry Kaine Jr. was a very smart student and later enrolled at the St. Christopher Catholic High School where he remained until he again demonstrated his excellence by graduating from high school with honors in 1979. Copper Lon, as he was called, was always a determined young man and believed that the sky was the limit. He matriculated to the University of Liberia after graduating from St. Christopher. During that time the Government of Liberia was scouting for smart young Liberians to join the police to professionalize it, and came after him. He sought advice from his father who encouraged him to do so.
While at the Academy, Henry got an opportunity to travel to America in 1982. This was a golden opportunity for him. Henry called California home for many years and later moved to Akron, Ohio, his second home where he remained until his untimely passing. In all the places that Henry lived, he developed a very strong network of family friends.
The late Henry Kaine was first and foremost a devoted father, who was passionate about education, and was an amazing soccer player! Henry was a very friendly person with a no-nonsense personality.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his two sons, Romeo Kaine and Vaplah Cooper Kaine II of Liberia and the United States of America; along with several siblings, a host of relatives around the world, and family-friends from Ohio, California, around the United States, Liberia, and other places.
