Henry L. Norman, age 83, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025. Born on May 8, 1942, in Columbus, Mississippi, Henry lived a life marked by quiet strength, skillful hands, and enduring love for his family and community.

A devoted Baptist in spirit and practice, Henry nurtured his faith privately, reading his Bible every night before bed and living by the values of kindness, humility, drawing strength, wisdom, and peace from its pages throughout his life.

Henry proudly served in the United States Army and later worked for many years as a rigger painter at Republic Steel. He was a man of many talents — a well-rounded handyman known for his ability to fix just about anything. Whether it was working on cars, installing a hot water heater, or repairing electronics, Henry was often found in someone’s driveway lending a helping hand. In his younger years, he cultivated a garden, and in later life, he continued to enjoy tending to flowers along the driveway. A lover of jazz music, he found joy in the rhythm of a good tune and the peace of simple moments.

He was deeply devoted to his family. Henry is survived by his beloved wife, Juanita Norman; his son, Lee Norman (Monae Norman); his brothers, Ezell Norman (Leona Norman); and his sisters, Ida Norman, Mary N. Blunt, Marie Banks, and Lucille Hinton. His memory will be cherished by many extended family members and friends.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Lela Norman and Galvin Norman; his brothers, Galvin Norman, Alexander Norman, Jeffery Norman, and Willie Norman; and his sisters, Rita Norman and Ann Herford.
