Howard is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Violet; his sons, Julian (Tiffany) and Jonathan (Stacie), five grandchildren: Tania, JoElle, Jonathan II, Arica, and Taryn; one brother, Ellison Skip Carter (Thongpoon); and one sister, Lecia Kiel (Chris). He is predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth D. Carter and Bill Evans, two brothers, Donald Carter and Gene Carter; two sisters, Norma Mitchell and Marcia Jones.

My sincere condolences to the family and to his friends. I know it’s 3 years after his homegoing but I just found out of his transition. Howard and I met in high school. He was smart, kind, and caring. But most of all he loved playing football ( tackle) for East High School. “Howie “ was his nickname that was on his team sweater. We had many good moments together. He will always be in my thoughts. TL🌷

My condolences to family and friends that knew him so well. My last memory of you was "you were in very good spirits despite there of" A pure Angel. Watch over us we will need it and you will be greatly missed.

We are very sad to hear that Howard passed away. Howard was a friend a to us at Bonnie Speed of Columbus for 18 years. He was a great guy and we always enjoyed it when he came to our office. He had a work ethic you seldom find anymore. He will be missed. Our condolences to the family of Howard.

Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with the family at this time. Grandpa Howie was one of the most thoughtful and caring persons we have ever known. As the Father and Grandfather in love to our precious Tiffany and her family we truly appreciated his special love for them. We will miss his humor on our trips to Ohio. Kathy and truly saddened by the death of Mr. Howard Carter. He and his wife Violet are two of the nicest and most wonderful people that we have ever met, and were two of the greatest neighbors as well! He will truly be missed!
