It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ilene T. Gipson, a beloved daughter, devoted mother, and cherished healthcare professional. Ilene was born on April 20, 1977, in Cleveland, Ohio. Ilene was the oldest of 7 siblings. She gracefully departed from this life on March 19, 2026, at the age of 48.

Ilene was a passionate Registered Nurse who dedicated her life to serving the community through her work at Metro Health. Her caring spirit and commitment to her patients exemplified her unwavering devotion to the healthcare profession. She earned an associate’s degree and used her knowledge and skills to make a lasting impact on the lives of everyone she encountered.

Ilene is survived by her loving father, Robert Terrance, her caring mother, Arlene Gipson, her cherished son, Demond Proctor and her partner, Travis Hardy. Her kind-hearted nature, infectious laughter, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ilene’s life at her funeral services, which will be held on April 4, 2026, at Calhoun Funeral Home (Rockside). The wake will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM. Prior to these services, a public viewing will take place on April 3, 2026, from 4:00 PM, until 8:00 PM.
