Imani Warren Tolbert, Sr., 18, passed away suddenly on March 11, 2021. A natural-born fighter, he was not a complainer, but rather full of life, light and joy. He accepted Christ at the age of 11. He was a former student of the I-Promise School and S.W.A.G.—Students With A Goal. He was scheduled to graduate from Cascade Career Prep High School in June of this year.
He leaves behind a young son, Imani Warren Tolbert Jr., to carry on his legacy.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Emmett Tolbert III and LaToya (Samuel) Beauford Glover-Lamb; brothers, Carlito Lamb, Emmitt Tolbert IV, Emonte Tolbert, Cartel Lamb, Xavier Tolbert, Samuel Lamb Jr., Emmett Tolbert IV, Ayden Tolbert and Emmanuel Tolbert; sisters, Diarrus Lamb, Darla Tolbert, Sky Tolbert, Faith Tolbert, Truth Lamb and Naviee Tolbert; grandparents, Valerie “Maucco” Tolbert, and Emmett (Carolyn) Tolbert, Jr., Theresa Beauford, Jerome Glover, Juanita Arnold, Gary Arnold; great-grandmother, Annie L. Beauford (Nanny); aunts and uncles, Shawndra (Dan) Bickley, Samuel Tolbert, Carmen Tolbert, Nachelle Lewis, Michelle Beauford, Mecca Hopkins, LaNyce ( DeMarco) Williams, Latoya Avery Glover, Shameka Glover, Alyssa Glover, Renata Glover, Kandra Arnold, Tyrone Davis, Rod Fox, Gecari Glover, Darius Glover, Anthony Lamb, Gary Griffin, Gary Armstrong, Johnny (Melinda) Gaiter and Stefani Tolbert, along with a host of special extended families; the Beauford, Tolbert, Dowdell, Glover, Fitch, Arnold, Lamb and Gaiter families; best friend, Lataysia Rouser, and other friends he loved who are far too many to mention.

I Want to start by saying I'm so sorry for the families loss of a beautiful king. I got the pleasure of meeting Imani back in October when he began working for Waste Management. I instantly took him under my wing. We became "besties" as he would always call me. We shared a locker and much more. I always enjoyed my nights working with him. We worked next to each other and was constantly together. We had our own little cleaning crew we admired so much. I loved making him lunches bcz he always hyped up my cooking :). His smile lit up the room. He was such a great kid. I can't believe he is gone he had such a big life planned for himself and his son. He talked about him oh so much. The last time we spoke he told me about his little mess up n how he just got out of jail but promised me he was going to do better for his son. I was so very proud of him when he would talk that way. Gosh I could say it over & over again I can't believe your gone best friend. ?? I hope your resting in peace. A beautiful soul taken way to soon. Rip Imani ❤️
