Irene Jane (Dashiell) Jordan, age 104, of Euclid, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, in Willoughby, Ohio.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Nathanial Jordan, her parents Golden and Katie Dashiell, and her siblings, Marie, Eleanor, Grace, Sarah, Shirley, Calvin, and Rayfield.

She is survived by her loving daughter (only child), Gloria A. Lovelace, who meant the world to her.  Grandchildren, Glorena, Calvin, Patricia (Ivory) and Senora, great grandchildren, La’Kisha (Terrell), Darrick E, Jennifer, Diontae, and DeAndre, great-great grandchildren, Brittany, Darrick L, La’Shai, ShaHeim, and Autumn, great great-great grandchildren, Ja’Brehai, Camille, and Sa’Rhy.  She also has many nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Irene Jane (Dashiell) Jordan was born to Golden Dashiell and Katie (Waters) Dashiell in Tyaskin, MD on March 15, 1922, and had a modest upbringing.

Irene was the matriarch of her 6 generational family, and the family dynamic was important to her.  She loved being around to see her generations grow and could always be found sharing her wisdom and love with everyone.

Irene was a truly vibrant soul – an easy – going busybody, who was a great cook, loved to dance, and was full of love and joy.  She found her greatest pleasure spending time with family and friends no matter what the occasion.

Irene was a beautiful woman, full of love, life and laughter, a cherished, dedicated, and kind-hearted person known for her contagious smile, immense joy, and unwavering warmth that touched the hearts of everyone she met.  She will truly be missed by her family and friends.
