Ivaleen F. Forney, 93, passed away peacefully April 16, 2018.
She was born in Washington, PA August 17, 1924 and moved to Akron at an early age where she resided. She graduated from Central High School. Ivaleen was employed and retired from Akron Juvenile Court. She was a member of Arlington Church of God and was an Eastern Star.
Mrs. Forney was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Forney; mother, Alene Vaughn-Brannon; father, Leslie Vaughn Sr; son, Ivan Forney; and brothers, Charles Vaughn and Leslie Vaughn.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, daughter, Sandra Warren; sons, William Forney Jr. (MaryAnn), Duane Forney (Carolyn), and Edward Forney; step-daughters, Yvonne Mitchell and Diane Jarmon; sisters-in-law, Delores Stone and Janie Forney (Doylan-deceased); 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
