It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Jacqueline Benison, who passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 63.
Born on September 17, 1962, in Demopolis, Alabama, to Richard Armstead and Helen Russell.
Jacqueline moved to Cleveland, Ohio, in 1964. There, she was raised alongside her four siblings: Aaron, Berthamae, Lucy, and Nakia. With whom she loved dearly.
Jacqueline was a devoted daughter, mother, sister, and friend who brought warmth and great energy into every room she entered. She was the life of the party, known for her vibrant spirit, her love of card games and music, and her ever-present helping hand for those in need.
Her family was her heart. Her daughters were her pride and joy. She was a proud grandmother and a doting great-grandmother.
Jacqueline was proceeded in death by her father Richard Armstead.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother; Helen Russell, her two beloved daughters; Shontae Benison and Joetta Benison, her grandchildren; Precious, Shondore, Shontianna and Steven, her great-grandchildren; Princeton, Rayshon, Princess, and Promise, her siblings; Aaron, Berthamae, Lucy, and Nakie Benison. Brother-in-law; Jeffrey Love, Sister-in-Law; Avon Benison, and a host of friends and family, who will continue to carry on her memory and build upon her legacy.
Though she is no longer physically with us, her smile, strength, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the many lives she touched. Jacqueline will be missed dearly and loved forever.
