In Loving Memory of Jaiden Amere Tunson
Jaiden Amere Tunson was born on May 28, 2009, to Courtney Tunson and Clarence Adams. From the moment he entered this world, Jaiden brought a light into the lives of everyone blessed enough to know him. He was truly the light in everyone’s eyes, a young man whose presence could brighten any room and whose laughter was contagious.
He was affectionately known as “Dudie” to those who loved him.
Jaiden was funny, loving, playful, and always full of life. There was never a dull moment when Jaiden was around. His smile was unforgettable. His personality was one of a kind and his ability to make others laugh was a gift all his own. He had a heart full of love and a protective spirit, especially when it came to his mother and sisters. Anyone who had the opportunity to experience Jaiden knew what a joy he was and how deeply he loved the people around him.
Jaiden also took pride in his appearance. He had the most beautiful eyes and hair and he always made sure he looked his best. He loved to dress fresh and keep his style together, especially when it came to his favorite pair of shoes — his white Nike Air Force 1s! If you knew Jaiden, you knew he liked to look good and stepped out in style. That was just another part of what made him uniquely Jaiden. His handsome face, beautiful eyes, and unforgettable smile will forever be treasured by those who love him.
He enjoyed playing basketball, watching movies and, of course, eating! Jaiden could turn just about anything into a meal. And, if you knew him, you knew that boy loved to eat! These little things, along with his infectious laughter and playful spirit, are memories that his family and friends will cherish forever.
Jaiden attended Shaker Heights High School, where he was preparing to graduate with the class of 2027. He was surrounded by a school community that loved him, supported him, and poured into him. His presence made a difference, and the love shared with him by his classmates, teachers, and school community will forever remain a part of his story.
Special thanks to administrators Mr. Isaiah Wyatt, Ms. Elizabeth Massey, and Ms. Shaunetta Tucker.
Jaiden accepted Christ into his life in June 2017 at Open Door Baptist Church, establishing a foundation of faith that will forever be a meaningful part of his legacy.
On October 26, 2026, Jaiden’s life was tragically taken as a result of gun violence. At just 17 years old, his life was cut far too short, leaving behind a family, friends, and community struggling to understand a loss so painful and unexpected. Though his time here was much too brief, the impact he made in his 17 years will last a lifetime. Jaiden was so much more than the tragedy that took him from us. He was a son, a brother, a cousin, a friend, and a light in the lives of so many. His life was a gift. His laughter was a blessing and his love will continue to live on through everyone whose heart he touched.
Jaiden leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother, Courtney Tunson; his father, Clarence Adams; his three sisters Jaiday Davis, Jayla Tunson, and Marlie Tunson; his nieces, nephews; grandparents; aunts; uncles; a host of cousins and extended family members who adored him and his amazing circle of friends who were blessed to share in his life.
Though our hearts are broken by his absence, we find comfort in knowing that the love Jaiden gave and the memories he created will never fade. His smile will forever be pictured in our minds. His laughter will forever echo in our hearts, and his spirit will forever be a part of us.
