Jameel Hasan Koonce

Born December 10, 1981, Cleveland, OH to Parents, Billy Koonce Sr. and Ellen Brown-Rahman. He was a product of Euclid, Cleveland, and East Cleveland public schools. He graduated from Shaw High School. He was raised as a Muslim. His chosen career path was basketball, but once he became a father, that dream was deferred, and he became employed with the City of Cleveland in the Fairfax Recreation Department and later the Water Department, where he brought joy to everyone he crossed paths with. The last 10+ years, he added Referee to his resume, where he impacted the lives of many, from the young to the old. It didn’t matter whether it was his first love of basketball or football or baseball or lacrosse; he had a love for sports and competition. Family: He leaves behind 5 children and 2 bonus children, Julius Koonce, Justen Koonce, and Jalen Koonce with Phetmany Phengsene (Peppy), Jameer Koonce and Damien Wright with Kimberly Wright; Zhuri Koonce and Damian Moore with Zyrice Mitchell. His parents are Billy Koonce Sr. And Ellen Brown-Rahman, his siblings, Tiffany Brown (Ronnie Ryan Sr. deceased), Billy Koonce Jr, and Zakiyyah Koonce-Crenshaw (Bobby Crenshaw), host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers in basketball leagues, and a host of friends. -Hobbies: Family time with his kids, basketball, cooking, trash talk, and refereeing. – Treasure Memories: Time with His 5 Children (2 Bonus Children) and Family and Friend.
