The party began on September 07, 1934 when James (Mr. Marvelous) Petty was born in Union Town, Alabama to Charles Petty and Kate (Jones) Petty. James later relocated to Cleveland, Ohio where he spent his final days.
During his life, James delved in many jobs but retired as a Produce Manager at Dave’s Market in Cleveland, OH. He loved working with his hands, doing landscaping and, as result, produced some of the most beautiful and aesthetically pleasing yards in the Cleveland area.
James adored music and therefore you could often find him dancing, roller skating, and listening to some of his favorite tunes; he was definitely the life of the party. He was known to be very charming and had a magnetic personality. He also had an incredible mind and intellect. He loved to have conversations about science and the solar system, and was very intrigued by it.
James, a professed Christian, was a member of the Word Church in Cleveland, where he taught roller skating well into his senior years. He was a tough, independent and spirited man, who impacted the lives of all who knew him.
James Petty had swag and was often seen in a suit, hat and Stacy Adams. He will be truly missed. The party paused on November 8, 2023 to be continued….
