James C. Logan, Jr., 66, departed this earthly life on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Cleveland Veterans Hospital after a lengthy illness.

James attended Akron Public Schools and entered the Marine Corp. in the early to mid-70’s. He held various jobs, finally retiring from Manley Properties. Jim was known as a “jack of all trades,” from fixing your car to painting, carpentry, dry walling, plumbing, and many other things. He will be missed.

James is preceded in death by his parents, James C. Logan, Sr. and Carrie L. (Harmon) Logan; Best friends/brothers Leo Prewitt and Joseph (Deno) Montgomery.
He leaves to cherish his memory his estranged wife Debra; sons Julian (Kisha), James III (Laura), and Stephan, all of Akron, OH, and Jamal Logan of Columbus, OH; Sisters Lucy (Chester) Wilkerson of Nebo NC and Joyce (George) Billingsley and Judy Logan (Dwayne) of Akron, OH; Best friends/brothers Cecil Bland and Steven Montgomery; Special friends Angela Franklin, Linda Smith, and Mrs. Mary Cooper; Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as a host of other family and friends.
