James Edward Gordon Sr. was born on March 2, 1965, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Arthur James Gordon Sr. and Mary E. Gordon.

James accepted Christ at an early age, and was baptized at Morning Star Baptist Church. James was educated in the Cleveland Public School System. He attended Collinwood High School.

After high school, James became employed by Raylon for many years, James was last employed by Crown Metal Finishing, as a Buffer where he received numerous awards and commendations. James remained there until his illness forced his retirement.

James was the family jokester. He loved teasing and making people laugh. It was never a dull moment if he was in your presence. James loved fishing. He would get up at dawn and go to the 72nd Street Pier to catch whatever was biting. James also loved cars, motorcycles, dogs and old westerns.

James departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

James leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother Mary E. Gordon; one daughter Cassaundra Gordon, one son James E. Gordon Jr.; three brothers, Arthur (Pete) James Gordon Jr,(Connie), Anthony Jay Gordon Sr, and Gregory Tiant Gordon Sr, (Pam); two grandsons Joshua and Micah; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
