James F. Mockabee, age 74, went home to be with the Lord on October 22, 2020. James is survived by his beloved wife, Marsha A. Mockabee; children, Michelle E. Sims(Wardell Jr); Shamar D. Simmons(Anthony Jr.); siblings, Shirley Moore(Anthony), Sandra Hollyfield(Norman), Kenneth Mockabee(Mary), Jacqueline Mockabee, Sharon Mockabee, Michael Mockabee; grandchildren, Nina Sims, Wardell James Sims(D.J), Aniyah Simmons, and Samara Simmons. James is the son of the late, David S. Mockabee Sr. and Mattie Evans. He is also preceded in death by his son in law, Wardell Jr.; siblings, David S. Mockabee Jr. (Anita) and Barbara Wright.

We're so Grateful His Plan for for our lives included giving us an Awesome Brother like James and a Beautiful Sister like you and thereby Gifting us all with extraordinary children who have grown into magnificent Human-beings that are we are so proud of. My earliest memory of James & Marsha was when they hosted a dinner for our families in their home to celebrate the joining of our families together, with the engagement of "My Baby Brother" Wardell Jr. and Michelle "My'Chelle", were to be married. They were so warm, welcoming and ADORED Wardell, and the Sims family felt the same. NOTHING'S CHANGED except James is reunited with Wardell, our parents, Wardell Sr., Lula Mae & our Sister Belynda who are "ABSENT from their bodies and NOW PRESENT with the Lord", HALLELUJAH!!! Belynda & I always said that all of our mansions were gonna be in the same cul de sac; she was truly the Sims' family COORDINATOR, so rest assured, James is At Home With Our Family in Our Forever Home with ABBA Father. Selah.
