James Rudolph Westerfield, Jr., the son of two loving parents, James Rudolph Westerfield, Sr. and Lula Mae Westerfield. James united with his parents on February 15, 2024, which was the day of his mother’s birthday.
James attended John Marshall High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He also attended TDDS Truck Driving School, whereafter he received his Commercial Driver’s License. He went on to start a career in trucking, and he drove trucks for over 30 years. James loved the freedom of being over the road. James was a man of intelligence, wisdom and full of character. He loved the finer things in life. James was a sharp dresser and had developed a signature in wearing his apple hats. He loved old school Cadillacs.
James loved the home life. He was a family man, who loved his family unconditionally. James loved spending time with his uncle Elmer and Ola Westerfield at Cracker Barrel. James looked to his uncle Elmer as his uncle and brother. They were best friends. He also leaves to mourn his aunt Moneg and Johnny Smith.
James got baptized along with his sister, Kim Marie at an early age at Christ Temple Church on Eddy Road in Cleveland, Ohio.

James Rudolph Westerfield, Jr., from Cleveland, Ohio met the love of his life, Tarsha Davine Caldwell from Chicago, Illinois in October of 1992. James and Tarsha joined in marriage on February 14, 1996. They were married for 27 years and remained good friends thereafter. During this union, James and Tarsha created four beautiful children: Tasheila Marie Westerfield, Cleveland, Ohio, Jamesha Westerfield, Cleveland, Ohio, Veronica LaRae Westerfield (Onaje Richardson) of Columbus, Ohio, and James Rudolph Westerfield III, Cleveland, Ohio.
James’ legacy continues through his loving children and two grandchildren, Denzel (DJ) and Lola. James was loved by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends.
