Jeanette Adams transitioned from her earthly home and final resting place to her heavenly home on September 19, 2023. Jeanette was born on July 13, 1929 in Charleston, West Virginia to Estelle Fitzgerald and Dennis Fitzgerald. Jeanette had one sibling Maxine Davis who preceded her in death. Jeanette accepted Christ and loved the Lord with all her heart often speaking about her faith in God in conversations with family and friends.
She attended school in West Virginia area where she graduated before marrying her husband Charles Lindburg Adams.
Jeanette was best known as “Momma” to everyone and anyone she met. Momma is also known for her big heart, encouraging words, generosity, and unconditional love. Momma will also be remembered by her infectious smile and joyful spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to the great sounds of B.B. King and any gospel song she heard. When able she enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners and dancing. Momma enjoyed watching sports and she was the original Facebook. She knew everybody business and was ready to give you her opinion on it. Momma often left family members confused with quotes from her childhood. “I don’t have no nickel in the quarter”. (Still not sure what that means) LOL.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her mother Estelle Hill; her husband Charles Adams Sr. her son Charles Adams Jr. and her only sister Maxine Davis.
Jeanette leaves to mourn her children; Josephine, Genevieve, Stanley, Mariann, Richard, Darlene, Denise, Dreama and Anthony (Monique). She also leaves a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great- great grandchildren and a host of friends.
