Jeannie McJunkins was born on February 28, 1951, in Columbia, South Carolina. She was the only child born to Jessie P Henderson and Thomas Henderson. Jeannie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater Abyssinia Baptist Church, after moving to Cleveland Ohio. She was baptized at the age of 15 and wore many hats throughout her years at her beloved Church, GABC. Most notably, as the President of the Sanctuary Choir and The Martha Circle, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She chose to lessen her church involvement to care for her mother full time until her passing.

Jeannie matriculated through the Cleveland Public School System. She attended Parkwood Elementary, Chesterfield Elementary, Harry E. Davis, Jr. High and John Hay High School. She graduated in January 1970. Out of high school she began working for Ohio Bell, which was later known as AT&T, where she retired from after 35 years of dedicated service.

In August of 1971, she married the late Stephen McJunkins, of which this union created three adorable children: Stephen M McJunkins, and twins; Shanda McJunkins and Shreatha McJunkins Hughes.

Jeannie leaves to cherish her memory: her three children Son, Stephen (Jennifer), daughters Shanda and Shreatha; mother, Jessie P. Henderson; Grandchildren: Daron Alexis McJunkins, Joseph Owusu-Ansah and Sandon Hughes and a host of beloved relatives and friends.
