Jeffery Tyrone Jones Sr., was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 13, 1960, to the late Henry Wallace and Ora Lee Jones Sr. He was the fourth of five children of that union.
Jeffery confessed his life in Christ at a very early age. Through his love for God, he poured so much wisdom and knowledge into his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Although Jeffery was a very private person, family was so important to him. He was known for saying “family is all we have” people gravitated toward him. He never met a stranger.
Jeffery graduated from John Adams High School in 1978. While attending high school he met and married Minnie, she was the love of his life. They continued to have Friday date night for the past 20 years. Knowing no man is perfect. Their love was perfect for each other.
Jeffery began his career with CMHA and retired from the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court in October of 2020 as a Custodial Worker.
Jeffery enjoyed traveling, casino trips, car shows and long spontaneous one tank driving trips. He made sure there was always something fun, new, and exciting to do.
Two of his brothers preceded him in death, Robert Love and Henry W. Jones, Jr.
Loved and adored by many Jeffery departed this life on Thursday, July 14, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife of 40 years Minnie L. Jones: two children: Jasmine M. Harris and Jeffery T. Jones Jr.; two sisters Ellen M. Jones and Fannie Dean; two brothers: Walter M. Jones Sr. and Dennis B. Jones: three granddaughters: Peyton, Jayden, and Jordyn; a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
