Jeffrey Morris Wilson was born on November 9, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the fourth of five children born to the late William and Yvonne Wilson. He also had a sister from his father, William, and stepmother, Sylvia.
Jeffrey was a proud graduate of Shaw High School in East Cleveland, Ohio, where he was known for always sporting his Shaw High Cardinal gear. He maintained lifelong friendships with his high school classmates Antonette Burroughs, Nate Paige, and Kim Ward (Jordan). He later attended Northwestern University, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering and met his best friend, Michael Henrey.
Following graduation, Jeffrey made his home in the beautiful and windy city of Chicago, Illinois, where he embarked on a successful professional career. His work experience included positions at US Oil and United Airlines—where he formed a lasting bond with his mentor, Sandra Carter—followed by Cap Gemini Consulting. Jeffrey ultimately found his professional home at Northern Trust Bank, where he dedicated 20 years of service among valued colleagues and friends.
Throughout his career, Jeffrey’s outstanding work ethic and commitment to excellence earned him a reputation as a trusted “brain trust” within every organization he served. Outside of work, he was an avid reader, a devoted Star Trek collector, and had a passion for tennis.
Jeffrey passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. To the very end, his love, generosity, laughter, and kind spirit were a source of strength to all who knew and loved him. He leaves behind a legacy defined by love, faith, and the deep care he showed to the family and friends he so faithfully nurtured. Jeffrey was a dedicated and hardworking son, brother, uncle, and friend whose impact will be felt for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Yvonne; his stepmother, Sylvia; and his brother, William Craig.
