Jerome Allen Griffin was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 15, 1956, to Howard and Verna Griffin. He was the second oldest of four. Jerome attended Parkwood Elementary School, F.D.R and Glenville High School.
He then went on to work at Republic Steel as a factory worker 12 years. Then he was hired at Ford Motor Company in the apprenticeship training program, where he became a Journeyman (electrician).
Jerome was also a member of the IBEU Union, where he retired after 30 years due to illness. He was a fun filled person with a big heart that loved his family and friends. He loved to tell jokes. Jerome was a real jokester. He loved playing cards, dancing and taking pictures. He was truly a giver; he would help anybody that needed help.
He accepted Christ at an early age in life and loved the Lord. He was a great husband, father, and uncle to Robert Shackelford, Michael Shackelford, Kenneth Starks Jr. and Aaron Ray and a host of nieces and nephews, friends, and family.
Jerome was called home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters Aarika and Tyra; sons Quinton and Osiris; siblings Howard Griffin Jr., Theotis Griffin, Martha Williams, Edna Bodyord, Arthur Griffin, Huey Griffin, Cheryl Shackelford, Linda Griffin (Starks) and Gregory Griffin (Karen Griffin).
