Jimmie Lee Davis, age 82, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2019. Born to parents Booker T. Davis and Hattie Talison-Davis on September 30, 1936 in Yantley, AL. She accepted Christ at an early age attending Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter County. She attended Kinterbish #1 and #2 schools where she excelled in track and softball.

Ms. Davis relocated to Akron, OH during the 1950’s, making the South Side of Akron her home and becoming a pillar of the community. She was a long-time member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, serving as an usher and secretary of the senior usher board. She was a mother to everyone and loved by all.

She is preceded in death by her Parents: Booker T. Davis, Hattie Talison Davis; Sisters: Bernice Foy, Ella Wee Williams, Willie Nell Davis, Virginia Davis; Grandson: Michael Carter. She is survived by her Brother: Edward (Janeth) Davis, Sister: Junior C. Brooks, Special Brother: Jimmy (Patricia) Hicks; Sons: Ernest Morrison, Donald Davis, Issac Davis, Herman Davis, James Davis and John Davis; Special Daughter in Law: Geraldine Davis, Yolanda Huffman, Caprice Spear, Asia Davis. A host of relatives, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ms. Jimmie Lee when you were in the hospital on the phone you said to me"You were not giving up" as I told you that I loved you. How Bellows will never be the same without you.
