Jimmie Mai Frierson was born September 20, 1947, in Dickson County in the city of Charlotte, Tennessee.
Jimmie was baptized at Schrader Lane Church of Christ located in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her formal educated in the Davidson County Public School System, graduating in 1966, from Pearl High School. She went on to attend Tennessee State University and decided to take up a double major in Social Science and Sociology.
She met and fell in love with Frank Frierson, on July 23, 1968, they married and became one. To this union, they were blessed with three children: two sons, Franchezco and Dexter, and daughter, Monique.
Jimmie’s passion was spending time with her family, reading, and performing volunteer work at the hospital. She worked for the Department of Human Services as a Social Worker for over 30 years, until she retired.
In January 2002 Jimmie was awarded from the Cuyahoga County Commissioners office; under Jane L. Campbell – Jimmy Dimora and Tim McCormack for her exemplary services for her outstanding achievements, dedication, and commitment to Cuyahoga County government.
Jimmie Mai Frierson departed this life on December 8th, 2022, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital. She was preceded in death by her daughter Monique.
Jimmie leaves to cherish her memories to her husband Frank of 54 years, her sons Franchezco and Dexter; grandchildren, Cheve Frierson, Miles Frierson, Supriya Frierson, Xavier Frierson, and great granddaughter Royal Frierson and a host of devoted cousins, relatives, and friends.
