My Dad, was the kind of man who made you feel safe just by being there. As his firstborn, I had the privilege of knowing his love in a special way, and I carry that with me always. One of the things I’ll forever hold close to my heart is the way he would look at my daughter and say, “Indi, Grandpa will be right here.” Those simple words meant everything—they were his promise of love, protection, and presence. He wasn’t just a father to me, but a loving dad to all four of his daughters. As the oldest of four girls, I watched him love, guide, and support each of us in his own way. He showed up with his whole heart, not only as a father but as a grandfather too. The bond he shared with Indi was something truly special, and I know those moments will stay with her forever, just as they will with me. Losing him leaves a space that can never be filled, but I find comfort in the love he gave us, the memories we shared, and the way he made us feel so deeply cared for. His voice, his reassurance, and his love will always live on in our hearts. We will miss him more than words can express, but we will carry him with us—in every moment, every memory, and every time we remember him saying, “Grandpa will be right here.” With love and remembrance,
