Joenathan Abrams Sr. was born on December 20, 1950, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the oldest of 7 children born to Joseph Marvin Abrams and Della Ree Abrams.
Joenathan accepted Christ and was baptized at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, located at 12305 Arlington Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44108, in June 1983.
In 2003, Joenathan was united in marriage to Tonya Mixon. From his first marriage, he was blessed with four children: Marie, Joenathan Jr., Shawnya, and JaKiya. He was also a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
His beloved wife, Tonya Abrams, preceded him in death on April 12, 2026.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Cheryl Canady and Miss Diana Abrams; his aunts, Betty Jean Howard and Earsie Perkins; and his uncles, Johnnie Sanders Williams (Octavia) and Morroe Williams (Carrie).
Joenathan leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Laverne Richardson, and brother-in-law, Willie Richardson; his three brothers, Marvin Abrams, Avery Abrams, and Eugene Abrams; and his play brother, Buckie.
He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Anthony Mixon (Deanna) and Reggie Mixon, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
