John Louis Kindle was born to the late Betty and Claude Kindle Sr. on September 28th, 1939 in Grenada, Mississippi. John Louis was one of five children who include sister Bettye Louise, and brothers Claude Jr. (preceded in death), L.G., (preceded in death), and Billie Joe (preceded in death). Residing at 17 Line Street, John worked the family farm just a couple of lots away, and attended Grenada Colored Schools through graduation.
John Louis entered the United States Air Force in 1957, achieving the rank of Airman Second Class at the time of his active-duty honorable release in 1961. John wed his high school sweetheart Laverne (preceded in death), and from this union would come his beautiful daughters Valerie (b. 1959) and Toni (b. 1962).
Eager to create a successful path, past military service, John migrated from Mississippi to Chicago, and then later Cleveland Ohio. In 1968 he began a 31year career with Ford Motor Company where he would climb the ranks to the level of Foreman at the Brookpark Casting Plant. John wed his 2nd wife Helen, and from this union came a 3rd princess, Keshia (b. 1972). John wed a 3rd time to Mildred (preceded in death), and from this union came son Shawn (b. 1978). John would later meet his lifetime partner Bernice, with whom he spent 20 joyous years until is calling home weeks ago.
John Louis had several loves: fishing, container gardening, anything sports related, his railroad, and his lottery, BUT no love greater than that for his family. He had a very deep love for his mother, his children, his grandchildren, his sister and brothers, his nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and his Bernice. John Louis Kindle leaves behind a legacy of a heart of gold, a million-dollar smile, the best stories ever told, and a sense of resilience like no other.
