John was the first driver to befriend me 25 years ago. He was outgoing, kind and loved to give the "Razz" to all. Always pleasant and positive, funny , and a wealth of information in the steel industry. He sure could bring a smile to your face and a laugh in your belly. I enjoyed working with him. It's just not the same out here on the road without him. I knew on Sunday nights, he'd be behind me by a few hours, as we ran the same rout. I knew his sleeping spots, I always kept an eye out for him to make sure he was good. If I hadn't seen him in a reasonable amount of time, I'd be on the phone with dispatch to see if he was ok. All we have out here is each other. His truck was as Iconic as John himself, lol. I miss seeing them both. It was a blessing to have known him. Prayers for peace and comfort to all.
