37 years ago, I met my best friend and brother. Big John was the truest man I've ever known. Always a kind word no matter what the situation was. His humor was his personality. If you needed a laugh just wait for Big John. We met out of nowhere. We saw each other a few times at the store. One day I was sitting outside at home and John walked past and ask could he come in the yard. He introduced himself and we talked for few minutes. Then he asked do you want to be friends. I said sure and from that day forward we grew as brothers. A few days after my brother went home to God. I saw post on social media and a young man went on to say. In the Bible Jesus is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. He was amazed by this as he is close to his brother. At that moment God spoke to this young man. Then God said to him brothers I choose. Friends choose you. The next person who comes in to life is not going to help you because they have to. They will help you because the choose too. That was John for these 37 years. I'm glad my brother chose me. I love you and you will always be here with us as you've touched so many lives.
