Johnnie Will Allen, born on July 8, 1936, in Anniston, Alabama, was the seventh child of the late Leotis and Idie Allen, a testament to the strength and love within their family. Johnnie’s journey began in the heart of Alabama before taking him to Twinsburg, Ohio, and later to Cleveland, where he would create a life filled with purpose and love.
During his working years, Johnnie contributed his skills and dedication to various endeavors. He spent 15 years at Anning + Johnson, then moved on to O.B. Holan, and eventually found his place at the Chrysler Auto plant, where he dedicated an impressive 38 years of his life. His work ethic and commitment left an indelible mark on those around him.
In matters of the heart, Johnnie was a loving and devoted husband to Villa M. Glaspy for an incredible 69 years. The bond they shared was a testament to enduring love and commitment. They were blessed with four children: LaDoris, Johnnie, Donnie, and Darnell, each a reflection of their parents’ love and values.
Family held a special place in Johnnie’s heart, and he was surrounded by a large and loving one. He brothers’ names were Leotis, Curtis, James, Richard, and Raymond, each a part of the tight-knit Allen clan. He was also surrounded by five sisters whose names are Annabell, Geraldine, Louise, Audrey, and Ruby, forming a loving and supportive network.
Johnnie’s memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. His presence, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him will continue to warm their hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and filled with love.
