Joseph A. Felder (Joe or Doc) was born on November 4, 1951 in Montgomery, Alabama to Joseph A. Felder, Sr. and Mae Rosa Felder. Joe was the second oldest of six kids born to this union.
The family moved to Cleveland, Ohio in the early 1950’s and Joe grew up in Church and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Joe attended Cleveland Public Schools, graduating from John Adams High School in 1968. He attended college in Oklahoma playing college basketball for two years. Joe served in the United States Airforce.
Joe was an excellent artist concentrating his work in black and white and coal then later vibrantly colored oils. He worked in Los Angeles, California for many years furthering his craft.
Joe returned to Cleveland to be with family. His brother Ted passed away in 2008, and both his mother and father, along with brother Marvin Felder and sister Denise Todd (McDuffie), predeceased Joe. He leaves to mourn his memory his sisters Deborah Griffin (Mark) of California, and Donna Felder (Anthony) of Delaware, niece Nicole Felder Bradgton (Tim) of South Carolina, nephews Cordell Felder (Sue) of Cleveland, Robert Griffin of Texas, Trey Todd of Pennsylvania, Damien Todd (Laura) of Virginia and a host of great nephews and nieces and friends.
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14
