Joseph Robinson was born December 15th, 1951 to parents, Rev Coleman Robinson Sr. and
Rosie Lee Robinson in Columbus, Mississippi. He graduated from South High School in 1971. After High
School he went on to work at General Tire where he worked until he retired.
Joseph was the father to one child, Daniel Bledsoe.
To know Joseph was to love Joseph, he had a magnetic energy that made him lots of friends.
He was always open to being friends with anyone. His laugh and smile was infectious. He loved
basketball and for a long time played every Sunday with his brother Floyd and their childhood
friends. Even as he got older and could no longer throw a hookshot, a basketball was never out
of Joseph’s possession. He enjoyed a good stroll, as well as a crossword puzzle or two.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Coleman Sr. & Rosie Lee Robinson; sister Betty
Robinson-Carruthers; brothers David and Floyd Robinson
He is survived by his child Danielle and her husband Jonathan Bledsoe, his grandchildren
Jonathan Bledsoe II and Jasmine Bledsoe; Siblings, Coleman Robinson Jr, Rosa Dortch, Floure
Beasley, and Nellie(Vincent) Taylor; Sister-in-law, Barbara Robinson, and a host of uncles, nieces,
nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
