Josie Adams was born November 14, 1931 to the late Colonel and Sarah Thompson. Josie completed her life journey February 18, 2024. She professed Christ and was baptized at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. She attended a public school in Alabama as well.
She was united in marriage with Henry Edward Adams Sr. (Big Dad) June 25th, 1951.
In unique, loving memories she birthed 15 children, she leaves behind: Henry Adams Jr,. David Adams. Brenda Adams, Pamela Pope, Marcia Heiskell, Wanda Adams, Sonya Weathers, Monica Williams- Milo Williams, Laverna Adams, Detra Adams, Kenda Adams, Curt Adams, and Daniel Adams. She later became a member at First Baptist Church (Mesopotamia) and was also head of the usher board. After her last child started school, she was a school bus driver and retired from KennaMetal factory Inc after 12 years. Her hobbies she loved were: Swimming, sewing, interior decorating, laughing at the kids getting whoopins (‘Im gonna tell your Daddy!”). She was a great homemaker and loving mother. She loved her family and the Lord.
She leaves behind 38 living grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceded in death: her husband Henry Adams Sr. , Gregory Adams, Shone Adams (2 sons), her late parents, also 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and 4 grandchildren.
