Laquetta Washington left a message on January 19, 2026:
My heart goes out to the entire Price family during this incredibly difficult time. I was absolutely heartbroken to hear about Mrs. Price’s sudden passing. I know you're all hearing so many wonderful stories about her, and I hope you believe every single one, because she truly was as amazing as everyone says. As you navigate this profound loss, I hope that sharing and hearing these incredible memories of your mom and wife brings some measure of comfort. Mrs. Price truly lived a life filled with purpose and passion, leaving a beautiful mark on everyone she met. I have so many cherished memories of her, and I’d love to share just a few. I first had the pleasure of getting to know Mrs. Price when I was in high school. She was one of those truly awesome moms who generously dedicated her time to support our girls' empowerment group, which both Jasmine and I were a part of. She had such a genuine heart for young people. It didn’t matter where she was or what she was doing, she always made time and space to pour into us, offering guidance and encouragement. I distinctly remember how proudly and elegantly she wore her uniform, embodying her dedication to serving the community. She had a wonderful way of reminding us that no matter what your job is, you can always approach it with integrity and compassion. One impactful memory is when she organized a visit to the jail; it was a powerful, real-life lesson she taught us about making smart choices and understanding the consequences that can follow. Later on, when I worked as a door greeter at our local Walmart, I always looked forward to seeing her. She never just walked by; she always stopped to chat, offering a kind word or a little 'nugget' of wisdom about life. Those brief interactions always brightened my day and showed me how deeply she cared. When I unexpectedly lost my brother, Mrs. Price's kindness truly shone through. She made a point of checking in with me daily, almost as if she instinctively knew I couldn't navigate that grief alone. Her consistent support meant the world to me during such a dark time. We've truly lost a radiant spirit in this world. While everyone knew how much she cherished being a wife and mom, her face truly lit up when she talked about being a Nana – she absolutely adored her grandchildren. Thank you for sharing such a remarkable woman with the world. She made a profound impact on so many lives, including mine, and left an indelible mark on everyone she met. With deepest sympathy, Laquetta hurt

My heartfelt condolences to the Price and Muhammad family. I met Jowharah when she was about 14 years old and became a participant in the Upward Bound Program at Case Western Reserve University. Her entire family supported her and the Program, especially her mother, Mrs. Khadijah Muhammad (aka Mrs. Johnny Lee) who helped chaperone our Upward Bound Retreats and other activities. May God continue to comfort you all during this time and beyond. Mrs. Carrie A. R. Reeves Former Director, CWRU Upward Bound Program (1979-2004)

Jowharah was a member of a wonderful and large family who lived at the corner of our street. We were a neighborhood family….her mom and I…and our children. Each one of my kids found friendship with one of hers as did hers with mine. Jowharah will always be remembered for her smile and laughter. She loved and was loved. Her spirit will be missed by all yet it will remain with us forever.

My dear aunt.. From your favorite niece i love you for life and after just how you loved me. We just had a conversation, literally 2 weeks ago, about how i was going to visit you in May when i come back home. She joked and said she was gonna come find me if i didn’t come see her lol. My first best friend. My motivation. My reminder to be great and try my best at life everyday! Another last conversation we had was you telling me that without health, wealth means nothing. In memory of you, i promise to think of you during my future life choices. Thank you for everything auntie! Truly a rockstar! Get all the rest you deserve queen! ❤️

Sending love and condolences to my cousins of the Fuggs/Mohammed family and the Price Family & friends. Jowhara and I met in Jr. High -Patrick Henry to be exact (not knowing we were cousins at the time) and we hung out in our music class together and always had fun! There was an instant connection between us but didn't know we were close kin until we had a family reunion dinner where we all attended and the dots were connected! She was a jewel!
