Judy Denise Coleman was born to the union of Vivian and Jimmi Carson in Cleveland, Ohio on February 4, 1955. Judy attended East Cleveland public schools, and graduated in 1973 from Shaw High School. Judy met Bernard Coleman, and later married on August 12, 1977. To this union, Judy gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Tamika Denise, and bouncing baby boy, Tyrez Bernard.
She accepted Christ as her personal Savior, being baptized at an early age. Judy was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Church and later attended Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Although she was not a member, she loved to sing and occasionally sang in their choir. Judy was a God-fearing woman who did not allow her sudden illness to define her. She faithfully studied the Bible with her sister, Deborah (Yvonne), and also with her good friend, Joann.
Judy worked many years at Ford Motor Company, retiring in 2022. She was also a cosmetologist by trade, working at various salons in the Cleveland area. She loved her job and co-workers. Judy was very outgoing and fearless. She loved vacationing and traveling in the states (especially Hawaii) and other parts of the world. The Dominican Republic was her last trip out of the country. Her other past times were roller skating, dancing, and spending quality time with family and friends.
During her last days, unknown to any of us, God allowed Judy to visit her brother, Ralph Carson, in Atlanta, Georgia, and also to Birmingham Alabama to spend quality time with her family.
Judy Denise Coleman leaves to cherish her memory daughter Tamika Coleman-Skanes; son Tyrez Coleman (Krystal); mother Vivian Allen; siblings Yvonne “Deborah” Venable (David), Kenneth Carson, Ralph Carson (Deborah), Brother James “Lil Foots” Atkins (Widalys), and Sister Karen Monteiro; grandchildren Janae Denise Skanes, India Tyree-Denise Coleman, Victoria Lynn-Denise Coleman, and Tyrez Bernard Coleman Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
