Miss Julia B. Dale, affectionately known as Poochie, journey began on June 2, 1954, in Camden, Alabama. The family moved to Ohio in 1954. Julia graduated from Akron North High School in 1973, where she was an excellent student.
Julia then went on to work for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Akron Metropolitan Housing, as well as The Akron Board of Elections.
Poochie loved her family and would call them often. Per her mother’s request, her cousin Minnie was to ensure Poochie was taken care of, and they constantly remained in contact with each other.
Julia was known and loved by everyone in the community. That huge dimple-filled smile would light up any room she entered.
Julia joined Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church on April 14, 1968, and was baptized on May 5, 1968. Julia remained a faithful member until her passing, even when unable to attend she still made sure to send in her offerings. Her journey ended on February 23, 2023, in Akron, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ollie Dale (May 21, 1926-April 6, 1999), Ruth Dale (September 14, 1933-August 27, 1987); and her friend, Ashley E. Primes “Binky.”
Julia leaves to cherish her memory, Geraldine Graham of Akron, OH, Lillie Hudson, and Minnie A. Nash of Cleveland, OH, as well as a tribe of loving cousins, friends, and the Akron Community that she considered her family.
