Julius Floyd Baker, age 79, departed this life to be with his Lord on September 21, 2021.
Julius was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Baker; mother, Katie Baker; son, Tarone Baker; daughter, Lisa Baker; and former spouse Clarice Baker.
Julius leaves to cherish is memory his daughter, Linda Lewis; sons, Julius (Pepper) Baker and Jerome (Theodora) Baker. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, one uncle, George Baker; cousin, Eddie Baker II; Olivia Davis who was like his sister, and his very dear and best friends, Clifford Dawson, Harvey Wilson, and Joyce (Pooh) Thomas.
Julius M. Baker was born March 10, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Katie Baker. He was an only child. and to this union four children were born.
Julius grew up in the Cedar/Central community of Cleveland, Ohio and attended John Hay High School. As a young adult he demonstrated superior entrepreneurial skills and business. He later retired from Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority. He also enjoyed old cowboy movies and law shows.
Julius also enjoyed cooking, entertaining, traveling, attending concerts and being with his family and friends. You could never get enough of Julius spaghetti and meat balls!
Julius accepted Christ as his personal Saviour in the middle of life. He became a member of Greater New Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and attended regularly with his wife until his health started to fail.
